PTO Officers 2016-17


Lacey is the proud parent of a New Hope Academy first grader and has been with the New Hope family for nearly four years. Ms. Thornton currently teaches 4th and 5th grade English in a local public school, is a Young Adult author and coaches individuals in nutrition and fitness. This year at New Hope, she hopes to increase parent, teacher and student involvement in school activities and highlight New Hope’s many achievements throughout the community. We are so glad you are joining or returning to New Hope Academy this year and look forward to seeing you at our PTO meetings every second Tuesday of the month at 6:15pm! 


Nwadimma has two children at New Hope – one in the Pre-School and the other in Kindergarten. The Omoikes joined the NHA Family during the summer of 2015. Ms. Omoike has served in the federal workforce and private sectors in the areas of strategic planning and human capital management. She aims to serve the NHA community by focusing on the children, and supporting initiatives that build cooperation and promote dialogue between parents, teachers, and administrators.






Aneesha currently has three sons attending New Hope Academy – Preschool, Kindergarten, and Eighth grades. The Summervilles are entering into their second year as being part of the New Hope family. Aneesha has been an integral part of the PTO since her arrival and is serving as treasurer for a second term. She is known for her love of planning special events for the school community and possessing a niche for the details. Mrs. Summerville is also a federal contractor in the field of Information Technology.




Michelle Anderson is the proud parent of a New Hope Academy fourth grader. She will serve as the PTO secretary during this school year. She looks forward to working with parents and teachers of NHA to foster the best learning environment for our children, the future leaders of America.  Michelle has served in the United States Army for twenty years as an intelligence and security manager.

Demiko Aiken Sr. is a Proud parent of 2 first year students at New Hope Academy in Pre K 3 & Pre K-4. Mr. Aiken is a Sr. Metrologist at TAI Engineering 
and a self-employed Photographer and Poet. Mr. Aiken has coached and mentored youth in the DMV area for over 19 years. Mr. Aiken looks forward to building with the NHA Family and being a part of this special community as PTO Parliamentarian.
